Class Description:
Sometimes you just want to have fun and experience a little magic! In this fast workshop you will do just that creating a custom ring that can provide hours of satisfaction – just in time for Mother’s Day! Students will construct two bands, a sterling silver ring cut to fit perfectly and a second textured spinner band that will be trapped onto the silver band miraculously! Students will gain knowledge of silver soldering, some metal texturing and become familiar with the three-dimensional possibilities of working with silver.
This is an ideal introduction to the wonderful world of rings! No experience necessary.
Materials Kit Includes:
- Sterling silver sheet to create one band
- Contrasting wire for a spinner

Instructor Bio:
Dana Cassara has been teaching jewelry and metalsmithing since 1999, bringing over 25 years of experience and passion to every class. A University of Washington graduate with a background in both art and history, Dana founded Danaca Design with the goal of helping students transform their creative ideas into solid form. Her teaching style blends solid technical instruction with personalized attention and plenty of fun.
